About the role: The Group Financial Consolidation Specialist coordinates and executes financial consolidation activities in accordance with group-wide (international) / national accounting principles and standards for the assigned scope. This role reviews, prepares, combines, and documents financial information from subsidiary companies / business entities within the organization for reporting purposes. Key responsibilities: Prepare the monthly financial consolidation process and support group’s entities during the closing. Prepare and run the group’s financial consolidated financial statements, such as profit and loss statement, balance sheet Run the group’s intercompany reconciliation process and support entities in resolving the differences. Support to projects in relation with the further development and maintenance of our consolidation tool and Management Information System (Business Objects Financial Consolidation part of SAP). Tasks / projects in relation to new reporting requirements. Support the budgeting and forecasting process of the Group. Daily communication with the Group Accounting & Reporting as well as Group’s subsidiaries operating around the world. Various ad-hoc involvements, respectively project responsibilities including group-wide coordination tasks will round up this very interesting and challenging position. About you: University degree in economics, finance or similar. Experience of 1-3 years in a Group or Business Unit controller function including experience in consolidation and international accounting standards (IFRS). Fluency in English High IT affinity (namely related to consolidation tools). Advances or professional skills in MS Excel (VBA would be an advantage). Very good analytical, conceptual and connective cogitation and a hands-on and detail-conscious work style. Strong communication skills paired with a good level of customer focus ensure the capability of working amicably with people of various nationalities and to optimally serve our internal customer base, which typically consists of managers on all levels of hierarchy.
