We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data team. If you see yourself developing predictive algorithms that power our global delivery business, you might be who we’re looking for to join us. You will work side-by-side with our internal stakeholders, building solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of our services. In your work, you will be required to: Take ownership of production algorithms that predict key aspects of our business (ETA and battery level, for example) Enhance existing predictive models and build new ones Develop internal tools to support your work Proactively work with other teams to improve our service Contribute to other projects on our modern data stack To succeed in this role, you will need: Previous working experience with predictive algorithms and machine learning Experience in coding and automation Some skills with SQL, data analysis and visualization Good spoken and written English Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. Fleet management, routing robots to customers over the most optimal paths, solving escalations from robots, third party partners and mapping. Also working with telemetry to ensure robots are always at their full health and we always know what’s going on first. Handling robots is a broad challenge – one that combines near real-time systems and more traditional entity management, reliable network connectivity and offline prediction of faults, route optimization and customer delivery flows… and a lot more. Robot Operator ESTONIA, TALLINN OPERATIONS – OPERATIONS EUROPE FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME Become a part of the future – help Starship revolutionize the delivery industry with fleets of friendly pavement robots. We’re building autonomous robots designed to deliver parcels, groceries, and food in 15-30 minutes within a 4-5 kilometer radius. Starship has initiated commercial pilots with nearly 300 robots trundling along the pavements across Europe and the United States.  Our robots are 99% autonomous, which means we outsource the difficult decisions to our human operators who are able to solve various social and traffic situations. We’re seeking operators to work in our control center located in Tallinn to oversee and guide the friendly sidewalk robots designed to deliver parcels, groceries and food.
