Starship Technologies is revolutionizing delivery, using a fleet of autonomous robots which can deliver food and goods quickly and efficiently, with a personable air that people love. Our robots have completed thousands of deliveries, met millions of people, and have clocked up the miles in more than 100 cities around the world. The robots drive autonomously but are monitored by humans who can take control at any time. The first time robots visit an area, they are controlled remotely by an operator. The gathered data is then used to produce a map of the surroundings. After the first run-through, the robots can precisely localise themselves based on previous experience. After that phase, we need help to visually annotate where the drivable paths are: where to stop for road crossings, which parts of the sidewalks robots can use, which paths to prefer and other questions. Your main task is to draw driveable areas on robots’ recorded images using in-house software. This relies on your imagination, creativity and best practices, as you define how the robot navigates the world. This is the last step of preparing robots for autonomous driving and is done for every location we open. You will be involved in a rapidly changing environment with exciting challenges, ambitious goals, and an immediate impact on our service.   Your primary responsibilities will be: Visually annotating driveable areas Defining main gains in performance Communicating openly about needs   You need to be: Great at spatial thinking Good at spoken and written communication in English Quick to learn and adapt Attentive to details Communicative and willing to speak up where needed A team player   We value our people, and so we provide: Fun company events Weekly team lunches Never-ending snacks and drinks A real family atmosphere that makes you feel valued   Job Specifics: Flexible working hours Possibility to work remotely Full-time, with four months’ probation period as per Estonian law
