We are looking for a Data Consultant to work in our Insights team, reporting to the Head of Customer Insights.
To help GeoPlace achieve our vision of a world where everyone benefits from location data by helping partners and users create the maximum possible benefits to citizens from our data.
Working with colleagues, partners, and clients across the public and private sectors as part of multidisciplinary teams you support the planning and delivery of a diverse range of data projects. You build great working relationships with colleagues and clients and help them define, implement and develop their data strategies.
Working in the open you will work with colleagues to plan and deliver appropriate communications plans to share learnings and celebrate the success of your projects.
You understand what problem the team is trying to solve and align your activities to the GeoPlace strategy and vision. You support the leadership team with strategic relationships and sales activities when required.
Experience and skills
You have a working knowledge of the key skills of the data management professional knowing when to use those methods and how to use them correctly.
You demonstrate experience of one or more types of data project - for example data migration, integration, analysis, and data quality.
You have experience analysing and understanding information environments. You demonstrate your ability to discover and evaluate relevant datasets as well as designing, specifying, assuring and quality controlling data outputs.
You possess an awareness of or willingness to learn best practice frameworks such as the Data Management Association Data Management Body of Knowledge. You understand the different roles within project teams and are comfortable in both waterfall and agile project environments.
You have an interest in how geographic data can be used to benefit citizens and the technologies which enable this.
