We are looking for an awesome and passionate JavaScript Frontend Developer, or perhaps even Fullstack, to one of our teams in Malmö, Sweden. This team develops mobile and desktop web sportsbook applications using the latest technologies. We work in hybrid mode, sometimes in the office and sometimes at home based on the needs and preferences of the team. Are you the one we are looking for?
About the position
In this role you will be developing the core parts of our Digital Sportsbook Frontend which serves multiple web applications processing millions of transactions every day with high demands on scalability and real-time performance.
At Playtech Sports we strongly believe in the power of teams and agile methodologies. You will work closely within the team to design solutions, code, review and together with other teams make sure the Product is shippable every release. As part of our continuous improvement culture, you will be exploring new technologies, systems and ways of working.

Qualifications
Who are you?
You probably have a higher technical education and a 3+ years' experience of development web applications using JavaScript Frameworks, preferably React. You are a curious and eager learner when it comes to new technologies and drive initiatives such as investigations and tech meetings. You are comfortable working with remote and distributed teams and you are fluent in English, both in speech and writing. You have a collaborative mindset and feel passionate coding and designing together with your teammates. As we work in hybrid mode, we think that you’d like to meet your colleagues at the office a few times per month.
Some Requirements
We expect that you have…
- Solid skills in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
- Professional experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Redux)
- Used Module Bundlers (webpack or similar)
- Good knowledge of source control (Git, Bitbucket)
It’d be extra cool if you have…
- Worked with agile methodologies
- Experience with designing APIs
- Understanding of the UI and UX of web applications
- Experience from working in the betting or gaming industry and/or the mobile domain
For a nice Fullstack flavour, you could also know…
- Java and Spring
- Linux and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Docker and Kubernetes
