We are looking for a Senior Software Developer: a mix of craftsman, researcher, artist, builder, and engineer. At Nortal, you will solve software and business challenges in complex domains with a truly autonomous team - making their own decisions about technology choices and development process, yet not forgetting the bigger picture and teamwork.
You are likely to succeed if you:
Can reason the business value of technological improvements
Understand fundamental design principles for building scalable applications
Are knowledgeable of the good principles of CI/CD
Mentor junior developers or would like to have this opportunity in the future
Can improve the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Have experience identifying complex bottlenecks and bugs as well as providing effective solutions for remediation
Own a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, or a closely related field
Are proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystem
Have skills in writing reusable Java libraries
Are familiar with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful APIs
Have experience with any frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
Are familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
Have an excellent command of spoken and written Estonian and English.
Have at least 5 years of relevant experience
