The Boston Dynamics Central Software team is looking for a C++ Systems Software Engineer to join us. If you are creative, have a passion for improving your team members’ lives, and thrive in a dynamic and team-oriented environment, this is the role for you!
How can we change people’s idea of what robots can do? This question drives our work to accelerate software-related efforts across the company. Our team works to deliver software tools, services, and infrastructure that enable project teams to solve the toughest robotics challenges on Earth - while also scaling as Boston Dynamics grows.
In this role you will develop software tools, services, and infrastructure impacting efforts across Boston Dynamics. You’ll contribute to projects spanning real time software, end-user applications, and distributed systems. You will also help ship software that runs on robots and in the cloud.
Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.
How will you make an impact:
Implement new solutions and approaches, collaborating closely with project engineers and leads
Accelerate others by becoming a technical expert in one or more areas -- then design, create, optimize, and debug across our entire ecosystem
Rapidly learn and assess new technologies, software, and methods that would broadly benefit the organization. Make cost/benefit judgements, advocate for change, and then help make it happen
Support integration of new hardware and software systems into build and continuous integration systems
Desired skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience with C++ development
Experience with concurrency, inter-process communication, and real-time systems
Experience with system or embedded programming and debugging
History of working in small, interdisciplinary teams.
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.
