As a Robotics Engineer at Boston Dynamics, you will help design and code real-time control systems for our Stretch robotics applications. Every day, you will work with other software and controls engineers to create high-rate feedback controllers, state estimators, and robust robot behaviors. We believe that if it doesn’t work on a robot, it doesn’t work - so get ready to do lots of iterative hardware testing to iron out the kinks. Day to day activities:
Design and implement algorithms focused on grasping, motion planning, and feedback control systems
Write software to interface with hardware, detect hardware failures or anomalies, and perform safety functions.
Test and debug your designs on awesome robots
Create highly reliable, maintainable, and testable code
Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve design objectives
Proficiency in C++
Expertise in control systems, state estimation, multibody dynamics, or optimization
Strong analytical and debug skills
