Töö kirjeldus - job description.

Starship Technologies is developing the future of delivery – self-driving robots that bring parcels, groceries, and food to people around the world.

We have entered commercial pilots with hundreds of robots driving along sidewalks across the United States and four countries in Europe. Soon we hope there will be thousands of delivery robots around the world. To assist in our goal, we want to hire a strong Technical Team Lead.
It’s on servers where much of the magic happens. The successful management of the fleet of robots, routing them to customers over the most optimal paths, solving escalations as they happen while liaising with third party partners and mapping - these are all key tasks you will be expected to perform in this role.

You will work with telemetry to ensure robots are always at their full health and that we always know what’s going on, as it happens. Handling robots is a broad challenge – one that combines real-time systems with more traditional entity management, reliable network connectivity, offline prediction of faults, route optimization, customer delivery flows… and a lot more.
If you feel comfortable with these topics then we would love to talk to you!

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in managing small- to medium-sized teams
  • A passion for solving real-world problems
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in cross-team communication with multiple stakeholders'
  • A curiosity and interest towards a broad range of technologies
  • Experience in software architecture, API design, and integrations
  • A desire to deliver value through the successful prioritization of the needs of multiple stakeholders, implementing working solutions

Useful qualifications include:

  • Experience with international teams
  • Experience with time-critical systems and short response times
  • An understanding of complex systems with high availability
  • A background in logistics or fleet management

Job specifics:

  • Full time contract with a 4 month trial period
  • Location: Tallinn, Estonia
