Global Digital Marketing Specialist – Leiden, Netherlands

As an integral member of the Global Digital Marketing team and the wider Global Communications team, the Global Digital Marketing Specialist, will provide strong support to the Global Digital Marketing Communications Leader, assisting in defining all digital drivers through digital literacy and adaptability; optimizing digital processes and creating new value generating business models leveraging digital channels for external BTB audiences to align with business priorities and delivering on business objectives.

The Global Digital Marketing Specialist would support the overall digital plan and be accountable for execution across defined business units and digital work streams, with some deliverables owned outright while others requiring orchestration across various disciplines to leverage specialist expertise. Strong collaboration and alignment to Global Communications, Global Marketing, and within Marketing Communications regional teams are also critical.

Further, the person champions good leadership behavior and demonstrates DuPont Core Values in their approach to colleagues and work activities in general and is an energizing representative of the team in this individual contributor role.

What will I be doing?

  • Plan and execute all web, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns

  • Drive and own automated lead generation programs and tools

  • Become a “go-to” Eloqua expert for the global marketing and communications teams

  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns

  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence

  • Manage any necessary redesign, maintenance and optimizations to enhance the CX and UX of the business websites

  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

  • Creative design strategy for key product and market segment campaigns

  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience

  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels

  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners

  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

  • Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing within the campaign

  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data

  • Ensures that communication strategy is consistently executed across multiple channels (PR,Web / Online, internal, SEO, social media, SEM and E-mail marketing, influencer relations, etc.).

  • Collaborates and teams with other communication disciplines, teams and experts to deliver cross-functional communications

  • Work with the Global Digital Marketing Communications Leader to ensure optimization and proper use cases of communications on the digital platforms 

  • Collaborate with Marketing, IT and agency/resources to develop, coordinate and implement campaign tactics

  • Develop go-to-market digital communication strategies to engage customers and increase demand for our products and services

  • Manage overall solution delivery process and resources to deliver against prioritized demand

  • Maintain a robust, integrated set of digitally based solutions to meet the needs of the global digital marketing strategy

  • Manage business relationships: primarily tactical focus for work group in support

  • Lead to meet operational goals in support of tactical and strategic initiatives

  • Responsible for tracking project efforts to meet goals, associated budgets, and timelines

  • Responsible for successful and flawless execution of projects and solution development for the portfolio

  • Responsible for communications and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders and integrated solutions and campaign reporting

Job Qualifications


Educational Background / Experience 

  • 5 – 7 years agency or digital marketing communications experience BTB focus

  • Extensive national and international marketing communications experience for two or more businesses specifically in the area of digital marketing

  • Fluent in English – excellent written and verbal skills

  • University Degree or equivalent in Digital Marketing/Communications

  • Seasoned user of the Microsoft Office family of products

  • Ability to work well under pressure and deliver within deadlines

  • BS degree in digital marketing / marketing or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum five years of proven digital marketing working experience (Prefer seven + years’ experience)

  • Comfortable with design tools such as InDesign or Photoshop

  • Demonstrable experience managing marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

  • Experience in automated lead generation email tools, preferably in Eloqua

  • Knowledge of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

  • Experience in Adobe

  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools, preferably in Adobe Analytics

  • Working knowledge of HTML with an ability to update HTML based emails and landing pages

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measuremens 

  • Computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, SharePoint, InDesign etc

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe or similar CMS platform

  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation solutions, preferably Eloqua experience

  • Social media experience

  • GoogleAd Words understanding

  • Global and B2B experience
