Essential functions:
We are currently looking for a Sales Manager Animal Nutrition F/M to cover the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland and be in charge of:

  • Leading sales of the business unit in the market.
  • Providing support to the commercial network established in the territory.
  • Developing distributor and customer intimacy to maintain sales position and create situations that permit growth in the market.
  • Following up marketing plan and proactive coordination with other departments with influence on sales activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • To achieve targeted revenue and profit objectives in the market.
  • Maintain fluent contact with distributors and customers.
  • Coordinate distributor training to develop and sustain their value selling capability.
  • Proactive communication with distributors and customers.
  • Frequent interaction with other sales and technical teams searching for key success stories and applications to be used in the territory of competence.
  • Reporting customer meetings, competition activities and market opportunities.
  • Monitoring sales development on monthly basis.
  • Update products forecast through customer interaction and sales development.
  • Manage launch of new products and if needed, liaise with the Innovation and Technical Services Leaders.
  • Define and implement marketing budget according to sales strategy.

Job Qualifications

 

Preferred experience and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the animal feed industry.
  • University degree in animal nutrition, animal health or bioscience (Bachelor, Master or Ph Degree).
  • Proved experience in sales, either directly to end user and/or through distributor channel.
  • Being part of sales team and working in competitive framework.
  • Markey knowledge of dynamics and key players in the market.
  • Ability to influence decision makers in the animal feed chain, with special attention to premixers and feed compounders.
  • Knowledge in animal nutrition, especially in monogastric animals.
  • Basic knowledge feed production technology.
  • Extensive business success in similar or related industry sector, including elements of product management and senior level negotiation with major customers.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both oral and written.
  • French and/or German are appreciated.Team interaction a must.
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Good self-leadership. Must have initiative, motivation, proactivity, be tenacious and positive.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office package, internet explorer. Any other IT tool appreciated.
  • Methodical, systematic approach.
  • Prepared and able to work in an international business environment with occasionally international travel.
