Chemist (m/f/d) - Analytical chemistry
for our analytics department in Bomlitz, Lower Saxony.
The analytical department of the Pharma Solutions business unit within DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences supports the production of cellulose derivatives and research on existing and new pharmaceutical excipients. The portfolio (including e.g. METHOCEL™, ETHOCEL™, CELLOSIZE®, WALSRODER® NITROCELLULOSE, AFFINISOL® and POLYOX®) is a highly profitable part of the Nutrition and Biosciences business and has shown significant value growth in recent years. In addition to pharmaceutical applications, the product portfolio is also marketed in food and other specialty areas.
The core tasks of the analytical team include ensuring product quality through analytical testing on the one hand and analytical tasks within research and development projects on the other.
The most important tasks of the analytical team are:
Product testing within the scope of product releases
Development and implementation of efficient and valid analytical test methods according to cGMP standards for various applications such as product testing and research projects.
Optimal support of research and development projects with analytical service
We are looking for an analytical chemist for our analytical department, who will take care of the development and implementation of valid test methods and support the performance of complex analytics in the laboratory. In this respect, the job is a balance between practical work in the laboratory and work in the office. In this role, close cooperation within the global analytical department and across departments with research and development, quality assurance and productions is essential. The analytical laboratory uses techniques such as wet chemical analysis, chromatographic methods (GC, HPLC, IC), IR and NMR.
The main tasks include:
- Support/Work in the analytical laboratory on complex analytical tasks
- Validation of test methods using statistical tools
- Maintenance of existing and development, validation and implementation of new test methods according to cGMP standard
- Documentation of results in reports and test methods
The position is located within the Pharma Innovation Center in Bomlitz (Germany). Due to the intensive local interaction e.g. with the laboratories, German language skills are mandatory. The main language in business interactions is English. The position is fulltime and regular position. The minimum requirement is a master’s degree.
