We are looking for talent to help Luminor in building a data-savvy and customer-centric new generation digital bank! We need technical, ambitious and detail-oriented candidates to join our Data Engineering & Science team. As a Data Engineer you would be working to simplify access to data within the company.
Our team sets up data pipelines for a variety of different business areas and use cases. Luminor Data Engineers are not behind closed doors but are working closely together with Product Owners to deliver top-notch Data Solutions.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture;
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements;
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.;
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies;
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer’s key business performance metrics. (Build algorithms and prototypes);
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs;
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing data pipelines;
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems;
Ensure that your work remains backed up and readily accessible to relevant coworkers;
Remain up to date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs;
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability;
Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
Your Technical Skills
Experience and a good knowledge of RDBMS (SQL, Sybase, Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL);
Good understanding of the data storage tools and ETL;
Fluent in one or more programming language, preferably Python;
Airflow, Spark, and libraries like Pandas, Numpy, boto;
Although this is primarily the area of the position relates to Data Engineering, we will do sophisticated pipelines in order to be able to work in collaboration with Data Scientists some knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning and data modeling is useful.

Good to have:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science equivalent majors or above;
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional project team;
Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau);
Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, etc.).
